Enchanted Events, Balloons and Flowers delivers flowers and other gifts across Gunnedah and the surrounding areas, servicing both private residences and public facilities, including business outlets, community centres and schools. We can arrange flowers for services at churches, such as the Gunnedah Baptist Church, St Joseph’s Catholic Church, and Gunnedah Presbyterian Church. We send arrangements to funerals homes like Lightfoot Funerals and Bevan Douglas Funerals, and to cemeteries like Caroll Cemetery. We frequently send ‘get well’ gifts to medical centres, including Gunnedah Hospital and Werris Creek Community Hospital, and birthday bouquets to nursing homes and retirement communities such as Lundi House and Oak Tree Retirement Village Gunnedah. We offer both same-day and next-day delivery.
Our florists have arrangements for a wide array of occasions, with both exotic and familiar flowers. We even offer bouquets of banksia and bottlebrush for a truly Australian arrangement. White roses can be found in our sympathy and apology collections, and peach and yellow roses are popular for Mother’s Day. Red roses are a staple of romance, and many of our anniversary arrangements also feature lilies as an accent. Carnations and gerberas are known for their bright colours, and are a great gift for happy occasions like birthdays, congratulating someone on an achievement, or celebrating the arrival of a new baby. You can choose live plants for something that lasts, from potted orchids to green dish gardens with ferns and peace lilies, and we also offer fruit baskets or hampers of gourmet food. Any order you place with us can have balloons, teddy bears, or boxes of chocolate as accompaniments.
We are based at Gunnedah, a small town in New South Wales. The modern name is derived from the local Aboriginal tribe, who were known as the ‘Gunn-e-darr’. Originally, the township was known as The Woolshed, due to being settled by sheep farmers in the early 1830s. In 1877, the discovery of coal in the nearby Black Jack Hill prompted further expansions and industrialisation of the town, though the region remains a prime agricultural producer to this day. AgQuip, one of the world’s largest agricultural events in the world, is held in Gunnedah.
The town claims to be the ‘Koala Capital of the World’, and is noted for an abundance of iconic native wildlife, such as kangaroos and echidnas, alongside the famous koalas. The Waterways Wildlife Park can also be found in the area, along with the Wondoba State Conservation Area. There are several schools in the district, including St Marys College, Gunnedah High School, and the TAFE New England Gunnedah Campus. The town boasts several sporting clubs, with the Gunnedah Golf Club, Gunnedah Rugby Club, and the Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club being among the more well-established. It’s also the location of the Gunnedah Show, an annual show taking place in April, which has been held every year since 1888.
